Broken Road to Blessing Nobody in this world goes through life without
trials, troubles, and tribulations. Romans 8:28
whatever you are going through God will use it for
good what the devil meant for evil. The reason is
because God works all things for good. Hebrews 5: 11
God's Word for the believer says it's important to
have keen ears and to listen first before being heard.
Grief feels like we've been blindsided and so
we experience the struggle and pain of brokenness.
Sometimes people feel betrayed and need to watch that
because the heart gets hardened and it's like a Judus
spirit that will make grief even worse. As we go down
this broken road of mixed emotions we are affected
physically and of course spiritually. It's hard to
realize that strength with blessings are to become the
end result with a heart without void if we choose to.
The pain we feel is so overwhelming we seldom
recognize this in the heat of the moment of suffering.
Isaiah 48:10 we are in the "Furnace of Affliction."
A hardened heart leaves us with negative feelings if
we don't allow God to control the themostat. God will
not allow that spirit of hurt and brokenness to be the
place we are to stay anymore.
There's much information and therapy out there
that's of our culture and not of God . We must learn
to be God Reliant because we can then move to a
healthier tomorow. When we go through a season of
grief we must run to the Lord as if we were world
class athletes! Matthew 6:33 we need to rest, trust
and lean on Jesus who brings the healing and
restoration. We being God Reliant helps speed up the
healing process. John 14: 9-11 Jesus was the epidemy
of reliance on God- even Jesus' reliance while on
earth leading us by example was to His Father in
Heaven. Just as Jesus Christ rose from the grave we
also need to imitate Christ Jesus in the same manner.
We can lift our spirits high above our circumstance
and let the Lords' purpose for our life lead us to
newfound success and prosperity. Jesus was the Living
God's divine plan, Psalms 32:8 Many people wait for
answers that are not Gods' divine purpose for them.
Learning the truth to live a better life is having
the heart and desire to serve Christ! Philippians 4:6
Pray, believe and trust. Philippians 4:19 God will
take care of our needs... we need to let our dreams
and goals be for Christ sake and not to value things
over him and have the mindset for nice things more
spiritual than physical from the Lord to start with.
Your life purpose is God's calling. 1Timothy 2:4
everybody is called for God's salvation. Hebrews 10-2,
Peter 3:9, Romans 15:16 all state we need to rid and
strip ourselves of all our own thinking and let all of
our self thinking be de-throned. Just say to yourself
honestly, "all I am and all I have is Gods" Get your
house in order with God first and everything else will
follow. This is the right mindset for a born again,
rededicating Christian or new believer. First allow
God to be #1 in your life without question! Let God's
plan be yours! And be encouraged because you have
Gods' promise!
What comes to mind when you think about hurt and
pain? What is in place between you and your total
surrender to God? Your answer determines your
breakthrough with Christ. Does God play a part in
your independence, pride and ego? James 4:6, 1Peter
5:5 God resists the proud and gives grace to the
humble. What is it you trust more than God? Psalms
91:1,2 Jesus is our refuge and fortress. If you trust
God you can be blessed. Psalms 2:12, Psalms 32:10 its
a war that we are in. Hosea 4:6, 2 Corinthians 10:2,
Ephesians 6:12, Job 2:25 say: God restores! We are to
love one another, value one another and work
dillently. Do good work but never value work more than
God, this includes the work we do for the Lord. God
needs to be the focus point above all we see and
value. Take action by praying today. Then give praise
for what we take for granted today. Lets all have the
desire to get good at it! The Bible says more about
praise than it does about prayer. Luke 1: 37, Jeremiah
32:17- 27, Romans 2:11, Acts 10: 34, Deuteronomy
10:17 all say: For the one who believes and trusts God
He will come forth in His Word. When we pray know God is not a bellhop so throw
away the alarm clock and
calender and TRUST God will do it! We can't give
doubt a place because doubt is a killer to faith which
leads to sin and unbelief. No matter how long it takes
or how difficult the process God's purpose for
allowing brokenness in our life is to bring us to a
place of wholeness and maturity. What we learn of
ourselves now will act as a tool we'll joyously use
the rest of our life!
Forgiveness which is the key to healing. You
have no right not to forgive because of the very
purpose Jesus died and rose again on the cross at
Calvery. Christ displayed forgiveness to every man
because of His love for us! We need not to wait any
longer and make it a act of will to forgive others who
have hurt us and by doing so we can move on. In the
case we don't have the chance to remedy the mistake we
made to this person we are to lay these things down
with a humble heart at the foot of Jesus' cross as our
focus point and leave them there permanently. Christs'
forgiveness is made perfect in us so now get over it!
Your devotion of sacrifice to do what's right is never
to late with Jesus. You never need to carry guilt
around again and never do you need to stumble on this
vise the devil has been using on you anymore! Now
satans work is to try to keep us in a PRISON of
unforgiveness. All of us who feel abandonment will be
encouraged while meditating on scripture. By doing so
we can understand where we are in our circumstance.
Remember God brings healing, wholeness and
restoration! God gives insight to which direction we
need to take through His Word The Holy Bible. "And
please begin with a little prayer for Gods' divine
interpretation of the Bible passages." We who are
broken need to come to a place of total self sacrifice
and this position of sacrifice is so critical for
healing. We cannot engage in the power that brings us
through to the next level without being willing to
endure suffering and pain in its true form. Peter the
apostle suffered much but it led to glory. Many people
go through hard times and give up. The ones that
don't give up keep praying. 2 Corinthians 4:1 don't
lose heart and keep praying. The joy before us is the
joy knowing God is with us and working through us.
Deuteronomy 31:6 don't be afraid, I will never leave
you or forsake you. 1 Samuel 17:47- God is there and
He's fighting the battle with us. 2 Chronicles 20:15
the Lord says the battle is His.. so we're not going
through hard times alone. Exodus 14:14 you keep your
peace and I'll fight your battles. The Lord Jesus
gives us the precious promise God gave us. 2
Corinthians 1: 20 says "Yes and Amen!" Hebrews 13: 5
He will never leave me or forsake me so when we go
thru that dark valley of brokenness we know He is with
us. Matthew 28:20 the Lord is with us always. Have
you ever caught yourself saying, I wish things were
like they were in the good old days? We need to
change the here and now with Jesus Christ being our
closest friend. So what can we do when hardships keep
hitting us? Gurt up and Stand! Our prayer time is most
important. Ephesians. 6: 10- 17 WE are to Stand!-
Meaning DEFEND the territory Christ won on the cross
for us at Calvary and take back that territory satan
has stolened! What satan is trying to steal we need
to take back for ourselves! Don't let desperation take
control of circumstance because your hiding them. The
cliche men hide their inner feelings more then women.
This macho? We need to address everything about
ourselves and not harbor repressing and suppressing
feelings any more! We've got to express with hurting
in it! Many people try numbing their pain and
suffering with things not healthy for the body or soul
which the lonely result is covered pain and becoming
even weaker so don't give into a toxic vise. Satan is
the dirty beast doing this so rebuke him! Practicing
chemical abstinence is especially important now
because it's a good time to be extra health
conscience. If you feel the need be see a medical
doctor do so... I suggest with great emphasis to
always get a second opinion.
We need to examine our heart to find where this
pain is coming from and learn how long its been there.
1Peter 5:7 we are to cast all our cares on Him. This
is because He cares! We need to let go of any self
strength and pride we have then convince ourselves not
to take hold of these traits any longer. They will
absolutely hinder and delay the healing process
because when darkness lingers the pain increases and
the disappointments pile into the deadly deeds. We are
not to let our shield of faith down so those fiery
darts of disappointment can come in! Lets humble
ourselves to our Maker so when discouragement comes in we're ready.
Discouragement is satans most worn out
tool and it leads to doubt. Then doubt leads to
disbelief and disbelief leads to sin where discontent
sets in. Hebrews13:5 Jesus says to be content with
what we have. Also He will never leave us or forsake
us. By the time dispair comes in we're in deep
trouble. If we stop reading the Holy Bible and stop
praying we've given up. Dispair, dispondancy,
disillusionment, demoralization, rejection and
depression are all very real and all come in from
satan. We must go to our Lord who is our source. In 2
Corinthians we read the words of Paul the apostle who
faced numerous and intense trials with incredible
discouragement, hardship and pain. When satan uses his
most worn out tool remember it belongs to him and not
you. When discouraged start praising the Lord because
satan can't stand up to praise! Paul was confident God
was in control of his life. He placed all his hope and
faith in Jesus Christ. 2Corinthians 4: 8-10 we are
afflicted in every way but not crushed, perplexed but
not dispairing, persecuted but not forsaken, struck
down but not destroyed. We must care about our body as
Paul did through much caring about the destined dying
body of Jesus. This way the life of Jesus may also be
manifested in us. NOW THIS was the kind of trust and
faith in God Paul served and trusted. John 3:36 you
can not be saved without faith. 1John 5:4 you cannot
live victoriously in a world without faith. 1Peter
1:13 we need to girt up our loins of our mind with
faith. Philippians 2: 5 put on the mindset of Christ
all the time. Romans 5: 1 you can not have the peace
of God without faith in the person Jesus Christ. James
1: 6 you can not pray without faith because if you
have doubt it will not work. Romans 10:17 faith comes
by hearing the Word of God. Jesus said we could speak
to a mountain and it be removed and cast in the sea"
Jesus meant mountains of fear, doubt and disbelief.
Those mountains of anxiety, worry, fretting, stress
and tension! These are the mountains that need to be
torn down. Galations 2:16 we are justified by faith
and not by works. Works are good but they don't get us
to heaven because only Jesus Christ gets us there.
Galatians 2: 20 we are to live by faith. The apostle
Paul was not ignorant to the fact trials passing
through his life came with a purpose. They were tools
in the hands of God that reshaped, refined and
reformed his life so he would become a reflexion of
Christ, full of purpose and full of blessings! With
all of us there's a purpose. Now of course Paul got
discouraged at times just as we've been one time or
another. Remember praise evicts the forces of
darkness. Remember Paul fought with emotional and
physical difficulties just as we do. Just as the
apostle was Psalms 34:19 says many are the afflictions
of the righteous but the Lord delivers us out of them,
Luke 18: 1 says don't give up and keep on praying. The
words of Paul in the letters to the Corinthians are
all laced with pain and difficulty but there were more
words of hope and divine Intervention. The letters
were written to inspire and encourage all who face the
agony of grief. And it is agony we go through for that
season of grief. Paul speaks of a thorn in his side
(something troublesome) -2 Corinthians 12:9 My grace
is sufficant for you for My power is perfected in
weakness, so most gladly therefore I would rather
boast about my weakness so that the power of Christ
may dwell in me. Therefore I walk content in my
weaknesses in self-distress, persecutions with
difficulties for Christ's Sake. For when I am weak I
am strong." This is where our thoughts need to be!
Just try letting every thought be like Paul's through
those times we feel the most helpless. When we need
to cry out do so. Psalms 30:2 Lord my God I cried
out to you and you healed me, Luke 18:1 don't give up
and keep praying. Psalms 107: 6-13,19,28 then they
cried out to the Lord in their trouble and He
delivered them from their distress. That's where
healing, wholeness, restoration and our deliverence
comes from and nowhere else. The apostle Paul had
trust, also he had peace and joy.
Those hard, weak and lonely moments pray even
though it's hard to at first. That way the Lord will
begin to give peace. Each day try to emphasize in your
mind your decision that the devil can't steal your joy
any longer. Begin to get into a state of mind that
everything is going to be OK and the trouble is the
Lords' now. Nehemiah 8: 10 And joy had nothing to do
with my circumstance- Amen! When difficulties come we feel the pressures and
stresses within but in the
spiritual realm we don't have to yield to mountain
pressures. We can defuse it by placing it at the alter
of God for Him to handle. Just speak the truth and
say, Lord I can't handle this and I'm going to give it
to You. I'm putting it on the alter now and I'm not
taking it back to fix it later. So let go and let God!
And this is where we need to let trust come in...
Revelation 19:13 in the New Testament speaks of the
days Jesus Christ walked this earth and Paul said the
lesson to learn here is to take our heartaches and
potential defeats to Jesus so He could bear the weight
of the burden! Matthew 11: 38 Jesus says all thee who
are heavy laden come to Me and I'll give you rest.
That's the place to take them, Psalms 147: 3 God
heals up a broken heart and bonds up all their wounds.
Jeremiah 30: 17 God says I restore health to you and
heal you of your wounds. We have to cry out to Him
and look at what we cling on to in our life because we
may be prolonging our brokenness process. Of course
it's hard to make sense of anything in the beginning.
God knows what is ahead! God knows the whole spectrum of our life! We are lucky
to get a glimpse of what's ahead anytime. God may insist us to make the attempt
to lean on Him because His desire is to guide and direct us in the right path to
go. And its not to seam
us in because God's Word tells us He will position us
to live a free and blessed life. So let's use the Word
as our guide which is Gods' desire for us all! But as
long as satan is in the world 2 Corinthians 4:4 Jesus
says satan blinds the minds and hearts of the
unbeliever. So its a battle 24/ 7!
I hope this provides a new way to greet
grief every morning as we dress for the battle
everyday- Ephesians 6:11 "Put on your whole armor of
God" All six pieces so we can stand against the wiles
of the devil. When I was hurting and broken, I was
chastized, shaked, beatened, crushed, leveled then
pruned and broken and Jesus healed me. It toke time
but I did begin to focus what I needed to do in my
life as the healing came. Our prayers go out to
you... Amen
